Marika Koroibete si aggiudica la John Eales Medal 2019

Probabilmente si è rivelato il miglior giocatore dei Wallabies alla scorsa Rugby World Cup. Marika Koroibete (180 cm per 93 kg, 27 anni) si è aggiudicato la John Eales Medal, il premio annuale assegnato al "miglior giocatore australiano" durante la cerimonia dei Rugby Australia Awards.

Il centro dei Rebels ha vinto l'ambito premio con più di 200 voti, battendo gli altri candidati Samu Kerevi (150 voti) e Michael Hooper (141 voti). Quest ultimo si aggiudica il premio del Wallaby dell'anno, mentre Samu Kerevi è il miglior giocatore del Super Rugby. Jordan Petaia premiato Rookie of the year, lui che è stato il primo "Millennial" a giocare in un Mondiale di rugby. La giocatrice dell'anno è Alysia Lefau-Fakaosilea della nazionale femminile.
