La serata di Montecarlo non ha premiato unicamente Ange Capuozzo come miglior giocatore rivelazione dell'anno. Tanti i premi assegnati, tanta Nuova Zelanda (come spesso accade) tra i vincitori.
Capuozzo fa sorridere il rugby italiano, e l'unico nome tra gli Azzurri a far compagnia ad Ange è quello di Edoardo Padovani, candidato al premio per la migliore meta dell'anno.

Il flanker irlandese (origini olandesi) è da considerarsi inossidabile e inamovibile dal XV di Farrell. Ball carrier come pochi, memore del più coriaceo CJ Stander, van der Flier è l'uomo tutto in campo, presente alacramente sia in fase offensiva che difensiva

World Rugby Coach of the Year – Wayne Smith (Nuova Zelanda Femminile)
A sorpresa e contro ogni aspettativa, il premio di miglior allenatore va a Wayne Smith. Più volte visto vicino all'Italia, ammalatosi di tumore qualche anno fa, Smith è tornato più carico che mai con la nazionale delle Black Ferns, che ha condotto alla vittoria del titolo mondiale
